A NOTE RE MY USE OF A CULTURAL SLUR

*A NOTE ON THE TERM "REDNECK": I was probably out of line by using that term to describe the way Simms pronounces his words. The term "redneck" probably originated in the South to describe poor Southern farmers who plowed the fields all day long with the sun beating down on them: Ergo, their necks were always as red as a beet. These were hard working Americans - and very poor. But they DID contribute to their families and the country. May GOD BLESS their Souls.

The Southren accent is all but gone these days. The South is the ONLY part of America that actually has it's own culture and traditions.

That said: I, I apologize for my use of the oft-used cultural slur to describe Southerners.
I left it in the body of the entry because that is the way I wrote it to describe the accent of Phil Simms in a letter to the dcsportsguy@aol.com. I try to not be a hypocrite and I am far from perfect. The only perfect man ever, was JESUS. So, apologies to all whom I offended by the term. I won't use it again.~Dawg
